KARACHI, May 13: An underground water tank having a capacity of 50,000 gallons of water has been completed in the union council -1 of Site Town and the supply of water from this reservoir will begin shortly.

The nazim of Site Town, Izharuddin Ahmed, on Tuesday inspected the water pump in Hasrat Mohani Colony.

He said that the project costing Rs3.2 million would end water shortage in Wilayatabad, Hasrat Mohani Colony, Asifabad and the adjoining areas.

Nursery

The nazim of Jamshed Town, Javed Ahmed, said that the town administration was planning to develop all the parks in the town.

However, he pointed out, all the parks could not be developed simultaneously and would be converted into beautiful recreational places under a phased strategy.

Talking to people during an inspection of the parks, the town nazim maintained that parks, mini zoo and grounds were public properties. He said that the town was developing its own nursery and on its completion, the town’s parks would be adorned with colourful and rare plantation.—APP
