LAHORE, May 12: An election tribunal of the Lahore High Court on Monday issued notice for May 27 to three members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and the Election Commission on a petition by Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) candidate Rukhsana Jamshed.

The petitioner says MNAs Marvi Memon, Shehnaz Sheikh and Dunya Aziz did not qualify to become MNA on reserved seats. She said Ms Aziz and Ms Memon were not registered voters in Punjab and could not be candidates for the slot. She said Ms Sheikh was not a graduate and was ineligible to become an MNA on reserved seats.

She prayed to the court that she according to the parties' priority list be declared an MNA.
