SHEIKHUPURA, May 12: Shopkeepers of Mailsi Chowk on Monday threw traffic out of gear on Lahore-Sargodha Road for three hours in protest against lawlessness.The shopkeepers came on the road after three armed men entered the shop of Faisal and decamped with cash and other valuables worth Rs600,000.

The Traders Association staged a rally and then blocked the traffic for around three hours. The protesters dispersed after DSP Tariq along with a police contingent reached there and assured them that the culprits would soon be arrested.

INJURED: At least 22 passengers were injured, four of them seriously, when a speeding wagon overturned near Kala Shah Kaku on GT Road on Monday.

Seriously injured Ilyas, Nadim, Musa and Elahi Bakhsh, were shifted to a Lahore hospital.

Ferozewala police are looking into the matter.
