NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 11: Police claimed to have freed two kidnapped men late on Friday night. They had been kidnapped about a week ago.

DPO Zulfiqar Ali Larik said at a press conference that the police recovered Mir Hussain Sehto, who was kidnapped last week from Budek bus stop near Kandiaro, and Mumtaz Mallah, who was kidnapped five days ago from Soomar Channar village near Tharushah.

He accused the Barkat Kalhoro-led gang of being involved in the kidnapping and claimed that three members of the gang, Ikhtiar Khoso, Rustam Khoso and Bilawal Khoso, had been arrested and they revealed the whereabouts of Mumtaz.

The police official said that police had arrested the main accused Saleem Solangi in Mir Hussain Sehto case.

He said that some highwaymen, including Imdad Chandio, Ikhtiar Chandio and Sado Chandio, were arrested on Saturday and two Kalashnikovs were found in their possession.
