Port Qasim

KARACHI, April 17: Shipping activity remained brisk at the port where four ships scheduled to load, unload containers, rice, palm oil and diesel were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and Fotco oil terminal, respectively, on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another container ship arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships C.V ACX Tsubaki, M.V Shadwan Island, M.V. Hyderabad, M.V. Donna-V, M.T Star Dust and M.T Advance Victoria are currently occupying berths to load, unload containers, cement, rice, fertiliser, palm oil and diesel oil, respectively.

Cargo handling was brisk at the port where a cargo volume of 84,479 tons, comprising 71,546 tons imports and 12,933 tons exports, inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,414 containers (Teus) was handled.
