LAHORE, March 27: Four goals each by Raja Samiullah and Shah Shamyl Alam propelled Tricon to a 9-4 1/2 win against Askari Bank in the Low-scoring polo cup here on Thursday.

Getting on to a brisk start, the winning team scored three goals in the first chukker with the losing side not being able to add anything to their half-goal handicap. Samiullah drew first blood while Shamyl hit back-to-back goals for the winners.

The second chukker saw Samiullah scoring his second as the winners took a 4-1 1/2 lead. Meanwhile three-goal Dhruvpal Godara slammed his first for the losing side.

But the winners further consolidated the lead to 6-2 1/2 as Samiullah fired home twice. Dr Iftikhar Ali Khan pumped one goal for the losing side.

In the last chukker, Shamyl again struck two while Samiullah one to complete the tally. For the losing side, Godara earned two goals too but only to lose by a big margin.
