HYDERABAD, March 20: Activists of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Welfare Society, an NGO, held a protest demonstration and observed token hunger strike outside the press club here on Thursday.
They were protesting against what they said the murder of PPP activist Manthar Rahimoon who had died on Wednesday due to burn injuries.
The protesters raised slogans against former Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, holding his henchmen responsible for the death of Mr Rahimoon.
Speaking on the occasion, the NGO’s chairperson, Sheeba Zardari, and other office-bearers demanded that the killers of Manthar Rahimoon be arrested without delay who, according to them, were the henchmen of the former chief minister.
They said they would not call off protest unless the accused were arrested and added that Dr Rahim would be made accountable for the death of Rahimoon.
