Shortly afterwards, armed members of the rival group stormed a service station belonging to the attackers and resorted to indiscriminate firing.

In the violence, at least eight people suffered bullet wounds and they were taken to a local hospital.

However, two critically injured persons were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital in Rawalpindi.

The injured were identified as Wali Mohammad, Akhtar Khan, Ahmed Khan, Zahid Gul, Akbar Khan, Ajab Khan, Asad Khan and Khan Mohammad.— Correspondent
