Karate trials

KARACHI, Feb 21: Trials to select some 80 karatekas including juniors for the forthcoming 18th National Karate Championship will be held at 4.00pm on Sunday at the Karachi Martial Arts, Dastagir.

The gold medal winners in the recently concluded Sindh Games in Sukkur have automatically earned places in the team.

All the juniors in the age group of under-17 years have been advised to report at the open trials with their original birth certificate and “B” form.

The three-day National Karate Championship in weight divisions of 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and plus 80 kilograms is scheduled to be held in Kohat from March 1.—APP
