DADU, Feb 20: In-charge Second Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Dadu cancelled two FIRs registered against District Nazim Dadu Karim Ali Jatoi, two former MPAs -- Sadaqat Ali Jatoi and Syed Mohammad Shah and 40 armed men.
An FIR was registered in a murder case of PPP worker Shahjehan Qureshi, and another for the attack on PPP camp. The FIRs were cancelled on Wednesday on submission of papers by the SHO Dadu Town Police Station.
Lawyer of complainants, Shafi Mohammad announced to challenge the order of a local court in Sindh High Court.Incharge Second Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Dadu cancelled the FIR#25/08 of murder of PPP worker Shahjehan Qureshi after submitting the cancellation papers by SHO Dadu Town Police Station, Imamuddin Lund against District Nazim Dadu, Karim Ali Jatoi, Sadaqat Jatoi and 40 unidentified armed men.
This FIR was lodged by the uncle of deceased, Mohammad Aslam Qureshi on the directives of Second Additional Session Judge on February 13. SHO submitted report under section 157 CrPC in the favour of accused to cancel the FIR.
The counsel of complainant, Shafi Mohammad Memon filed an application before court opposing the police report and contended no enquiry was conducted by police. But the court cancelled the FIR on the report of police.
The SHO Dadu Town Police also submitted papers for cancellation of FIR about attacking PPP camp and injuring three PPP workers and two journalists against PML-Q Sadaqat Ali Jatoi, Syed Mohammad Shah, District Nazim Karim Ali Jatoi, PML-Q leaders Syed Fida Hussain Shah, Ali Mohammad Soomro, Saeed Ahmed Soomro, Bula Khan Shahani and 40 other unknown men.
This case was registered by PPP city President Abdul Karim Mallah on the directives of Second Additional Session Judge Dadu a few days back. The court also cancelled FIR on the report of police.
Lawyer of the complainant, Shafi Mohammad Qureshi said he filed an application to transfer both cases in Court of Session Judge Dadu which was fixed on February 19, but In-charge Second Civil Judge Dadu and Judicial Magistrate disposed the case in favour of accused.
He said he will challenge order of the In-charge Second Civil Judge Dadu and Judicial Magistrate and will file petition in Sindh High Court.
Meanwhile, father of deceased, Shahjehan Qureshi, Abdul Sattar Qureshi and uncle Mohammad Aslam Qureshi held protest in Dadu against SHO Town Police and said the accused nominated in the FIR were issuing threats to them for withdrawing complaints against them. They said police were supporting accused as they were influential persons.
