FPCCI team to visit Vietnam

KARACHI, Feb 20: The President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Tanvir Ahmad Sheikh, will lead a trade delegation to Hanoi, Vietnam, from March 23 to 27 on the invitation of Federation of Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

It will be the first-ever visit of the delegation comprising members of Pakistan-Vietnam Business Council of the FPCCI to Vietnam which is being planned with the close coordination of embassy of Pakistan in Hanoi.

The purpose of the delegation is to promote bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries and to hold second Pakistan-Vietnam Joint Business Meeting with the Vietnam CCI.

The delegation will also visit Ho-Chi-Minh-City. The potential areas identified by Pakistan embassy in Vietnam for the delegation include pharmaceutical, surgical items, textile, cotton and yarn small engineering goods, plastic manufacturing, agricultural products, oil seeds and grains, etc. while importable items from Vietnam to Pakistan include iron & steel, organic chemicals, telecommunication & electrical equipment, spices, etc.

The delegation will also attend the celebration of Pakistan Day on 23 March 2008 to be organized by Pakistan Embassy Hanoi.

FPCCI has invited applications from the interested companies for formation of the delegation.---PPI
