Troops arrive in Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 12: A strong contingent of 500 troops led by a colonel reached here on Tuesday to maintain law and order during the elections in the district.

Official sources said the troops have been sent to six talukas of the district. Reports said the army would remain in their camps and would perform their duty to maintain law and order.

BOOKED: Police have booked around 200 people, including PPP candidate for NA-228 seat Nawab Yousuf Talpur, candidate for PS-68 seat Nawab Taimoor Talpur and their bodyguard for allegedly attacking a PML rally near Kunri town.
