KARACHI, Feb 8: Eight ships carrying containers, steel and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where only two ships, Soon Fu and Oel Trust to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of four.

The departing ships were led by Hyundai Future, Soon Fu, Swat and Vinaship Ocean, while Glory Tellis, Oel Spirit, Flippa, Ken Sirius, Tiger Greek, Oel Trust and Chemway Lara are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total volume of 69,152 tons comprising 23,258 tons of exports, including 6,520 tons of cement and 45,894 tons of imports, was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Johar, with crude oil, Lucky Man, Despina P. Wan Hai-303, Bunga Kenari, Leopard, to load general cargo, Rickmers Dubai, with steel and Lucky Arrow to load 9,500 tons of cement.
