Shoaib fit: Mudassar

LAHORE, Oct 22: Pakistan coach Mudassar Nazar Monday said paceman Shoaib Akhtar had been selectd after he cleared fitness tests.

Talking to reporters at the Gaddafi Stadium, Mudassar said until Monday Shoaib was fit for international matches. He said that the pacer was included in the team after passing fitness tests.

He, however, added that no one can predict what would happen tomorrow.

He said Sri Lanka was a strong side and a strategy against them had been chalked out. He said Pakistan batsmen were quite able to cope with the threat of the Sri Lankan off-spinner Muralitharan.
