KARACHI, Feb 5: The Lyceum School ‘A’ defeated Meritorious Science College 2-0 in the sixth Aga Khan University (AKU) Inter School/Collegiate girls’ throwball tournament at the AKU Gymnasium on Monday.

Sara Kazi showed outstanding performance to lead her side to victory.

In other matches, Aga Khan Higher Secondary School beat St Patrick’s High School 2-0. Shahnila Liaquat and Tuba Bakai stole the limelight with their performance.

Karachi Grammar School overcame Bayview High School 2-0 courtesy of splendid show by Hira Noor and Sara Irshad.

Meanwhile, the inaugural ceremony of the fourth AKU Inter-university girls’ throwball tournament took place.

In the first match, AKU outclassed Greenwich University

2-0. Samia Altaf and Fatima Adhi steered their team to victory.

In the second match, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) beat Fast-Nu 2-0. Ghania Niazi and Beenish Rizvi impressed spectators with their performance.

Ziauddin University overcame Jinnah Medical and Dental College 2-1 after a tough fight. Anum Saeed and Marium Anwar were winners’ leading performers.—Agencies
