HYDERABAD, Feb 5: The president of the Sindh chapter of Pakistan Muslim League, Arbab Ghulam Rahim, said on Tuesday his party had not tendered any apology over its stance on the issues of Lal Masjid operation and judiciary etc.
The former chief minister of Sindh was talking to journalists after offering condolences to Pir Khalid Jan Sarhandi, former chairman of Hyderabad district council, on the death of his father.
He said that the PML would emerge victorious in Feb 18 general elections and form governments not only in the centre but also in all the provinces with the help of its allies.
He claimed that with Benazir’s Chehlum round the corner Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Asif Ali Zardari and Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi were vying for the post of prime minister.
He said that the PPP was crying foul and raising a storm over pre-polls rigging because the party had foreseen defeat in general elections.
He said that massive development had taken place in the country during five-year rule of his party. He had already been nominated as future chief minister of Sindh, he said.
Arbab said that Scotland Yard team would submit a report soon on the assassination of Ms Benazir Bhutto, who was a leader of the entire nation.
Pir Sajjad Jan Sarhandi, PML candidate for NA-222, party office-bearers Sohail Siddiqui and Mushtaq Ahmed Pathan were also present on the occasion.
