KARACHI: CDGK team assaulted

KARACHI, Feb 4: The naib nazim of Orangi Town and a city government official were wounded on Monday by land-grabbers.

According to Pakistan Bazaar police, a team of the city government led by Town Nazim Abdul Haq and Naib Nazim Shahid Shabbir, went to evacuate a piece of land illegally occupied by Mohammed Khan Afridi. Quoting the town nazim, the police said that after the successful completion of the operation, the city government team was returning when Afridi’s goons allegedly opened fire on them.

They said that the naib nazim and a city government employee sustained bullet wounds.
