KARACHI: Indian fishermen arrested

KARACHI, Jan 12: Six Indian fishermen were arrested and their boat seized by the Maritime Security Agency for fishing illegally in Pakistani waters.

According to the MSA, the Indian boat was caught about 55 nautical miles inside the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of Pakistan on Friday. The MSA handed over the detained fishermen to Docks police station for legal action.

Despite repeated warnings issued to the Indian fishermen, they repeatedly come to water zone of Pakistan to explore rich fish resources. —Staff Reporter
