NAWABSHAH, Dec 26: The PPP candidate for PS-24 Nawabshah-I seat has accused his rival party of firing at their office and harassing their party workers.

In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Chaudhry Tariq Masood Arain alleged that some armed men led by an ex-MPA attacked their election office in Pak Colony and resorted to firing and removed the party flags.

He alleged that the armed men also harassed their party workers.

When they approached to police for FIR, they refused to register the case, instead lodged a complaint against them.

The candidate further alleged that the administration was supporting their rivals and demanded of the government to take notice of such incidents.

Reserve seats: The government was urged to reserve seats for the disabled persons in the assemblies.

Abid Lashari, Chairman, Disability Forum, told reporters here on Wednesday that the problems of disabled persons could not be solved due to absence of their representation in the assemblies.

He said that no elected representative of Nawabshah had ever taken up their issue in assemblies.He demanded of the government to reserve seat for disabled, like the reserved seats for women, so their problems may get solved.

MUHARRAM: Jafria Alli-ance, Nawabshah chapter, has demanded of the government to revise their security plan for Muharram which would coincide with likely protest of the defeating parties in the polls.

Syed Afzal Shah, president Jafria Alliance Nawabshah told reporters that the defeated parties would launch protest campaign immediately after the election results.
