2 drug pedlars arrested

TAXILA, Dec 8: The Hassanabdal police on Saturday foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics from NWFP to Punjab and arrested two members of an inter-provincial gang of drugs smugglers and recovered a good quantity of chars from them.

The police sources said on a tip-off, checking of vehicles coming from NWFP was intensified near Haro bridge. During checking of a car, 7kg charas was recovered. Police arrested two occupants of the vehicle identified as Sadiq and Ajmal.—Correspondent
