KARACHI, Dec 6: Five ships carrying urea, coal and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
The berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where nine ships were berthed. They are Lalazar to unload crude oil, Orean Ekinci and Aiud, bulk carriers, Heng Shan to unload and load general cargo, Bow Fuji, tanker, Augusta, St. Irene, Sea Princess and Hyundai Stride, with containers.
Sailing was also active as six vessels, Cap Clorado, APL Sokhna, Augusta, Orient Stride, Asian Queen and Bow Fuji departed, while Lalazar, Captain Rashad, Arnis, Golden Arrow-2 and St. Irene are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.121m tons comprising 45,461 tons of export cargo including 2,091 tons of rice,4,499 tons of cement and k18,350 tons of clinker and 74,945 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.
The following ships are due on Friday: Eric G. Gibson, Oel Strength, Kapitan Byankin with containers, Ariella, with 29,500 tons of urea and Virginia, with coal.
