KARACHI, Nov 28: Normal shipping activity was witnessed at the port where three ships carrying containers, edible oil, and coke were accommodated on berths at QICT, MPT and IOCB, respectively, during the last 24 hours, says a PQA report.

Meanwhile, another container ship arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 50 per cent at the port where five ships occupied berths to load, unload containers, rice, edible oil and coke, respectively, during the report period.

The port handled a cargo volume of 61,768 tons comprising of 32,724 tons of imports and 29,044 tons of export cargo inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,900 boxes.

Two container ships and one bulk carrier sailed out to the sea during the period under review.
