SHIKARPUR, March 28: The relatives of Shakeel Ahmed Junejo, who was murdered two weeks ago, have alleged that the investigation officer of Gaheja police was using delaying tactics in arresting the murderers.

Hafeezullah Junejo, Subhan Ali Junejo, Hamadullah Junejo and Ghulam Mustafa Junejo were speaking at a press conference here on Thursday.

They said that their cousin, Shakeel Ahmed Junejo, was killed and his maternal uncle, Rajib Ali Junejo, was seriously injured some 15 days ago at Mirzapur village.

They further said that an FIR of the case was lodged with Gaheja police against Imtiaz Ahmed Junejo and 5 others but the investigation officer of Gaheja police did not arrest the accused.

They further said that their lives were not safe as the main accused, Imtiaz Ahmed Junejo, Nazim of a UC, his brother Aijaz Ahmed Junejo, a landlord of the area and others were very influential and were freely moving in the village.

They demanded of the Sindh governor, inspector general police, Sindh, AIG police, Sukkur region, and other authorities concerned to arrest the accused nominated in the FIR.

They also demanded the withdrawal of the false case registered against the family members of the murdered.

KILLED: A man and a woman were shot dead on the pretext of Karo-kari in village Khuda Bux Lolai the other day. Ghulam Qadir Lolai with the help of his friends allegedly shot dead his wife, Rozina, 25, and his relative Ghulam Ali Lolai.
