KARACHI, March 28: Karachiites experienced one of the hottest day of the current season on Thursday as the mercury touched 38.4 degrees centigrade in the city.

The intensity of the hot weather was felt much because of a drop in humidity in the air, which was only 5 per cent against 13 per cent on Wednesday. The Met forecast said the city’s weather would remain hot and dry on Friday also.

The minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 17 degrees centigrade. The worst hit of the scorching heat were the school-going children.

The consumption of ice, beverages and other drinks has increased with the rise of temperature. — APP
