DUBAI, Nov 22: Dubai said on Thursday it had authorised news channel ARYOne to resume broadcasts.

Amina Rustamani, the head of Dubai’s media watchdog, said in a statement the decision to allow the resumption was reached following a ‘mutual understanding’.

She said that a decision on Geo News “is pending outcome of its current discussions” with Dubai media officials, according to a statement released here.

She “expressed the hope that the matter would soon be resolved cordially, protecting all concerned parties’ interests, including the broadcaster’s, while safeguarding the UAE’s pragmatic foreign policy.”—AFP
