KARACHI, Nov 21: Sindh Ombudsman Yousuf Jamal on Wednesday directed the city government’s land management department to issue challan of balance occupancy for the allotment of an amenity plot to the Kanpur Old Boys Association (KOBA) after investigating the matter.
He described the officials concerned of the department as “arrogant” who, he observed. would not pay any heed even to the directives of the city nazim.
The association had submitted a complaint to the ombudsman stating that the amenity plot meant for a community hall and library was not being handed over to it even after the payment of 50 per cent of the occupancy value.—APP
