ISLAMABAD, March 28: The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended on March 21, for lowest income group up to Rs3,000, has registered a decrease of 0.08 per cent over the previous week.
The SPI for the week under review was recorded at 105.56 as against 105.64 recorded in the previous week, showing a declining trend in the average prices of essential kitchen items, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS).
During the week under review average prices of 11 items registered decrease, while those of 14 items increased with the remaining 26 items unchanged.
The items which recorded decrease in their prices included eggs, onions, chicken farm, garlic, mustard oil, gur, mash pulse, rice irri-6, moong pulse, wheat and sugar.—APP
