KARACHI: Youth killed

KARACHI, Nov 20: A 30-year-old man was killed at a shrine off Suparco Road in Maripur. His body was shifted to Civil Hospital where he was identified as Mazhar Ali Solangi, who hailed from Dadu.

Hospital sources said the victim’s head was smashed with a heavy object. Maripur police registered a case against unknown killers on the complaint of victim’s brother, Rahim Bux, who told the police that his brother had abandoned the family and had been living at the shrine for many months.

Crushed to death

A motor mechanic and a truck driver were killed in a road accident near Qayyumabad Bridge in Korangi.

Police said the mechanic, Majid, was fixing a problem in the truck while its driver, Shahid, was sitting beside him. A hit-and-run vehicle crushed them to death.
