KARACHI, March 27: Six ships including W.S.Challenger carrying 8,700 tons of soyabean oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berth occupancy at the wharves was normal where six ships were berthed after the sailing of only one, the average percentage being 50 an 67 per cent at the Bulk Oil Piers and the dry berths.
The ships, which were berthed included Pretty River, MOL Sincerity, Wan Hai-235, Winco Feeder to offload and load containers, Oriental Lily and Warbah to offload chemicals and high speed diesel respectively.
Johar sailed out, while Wan Hai-235, Pretty River, Winco Feeder, Warbah an Lanka Mahapola are due to depart on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 68,854 tons comprising 6,481 tons of export cargo including 1,097 tons of rice and 62,373 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due along with those whose arrivals were delayed: Al-Manakh, with general cargo and Shirvan, with crude oil, Leixoes, Kota Sabas, with containers, Maya to load 44,000 tons of molasses and W.S.Challenger, with soyabean oil.
