NAWABSHAH, Nov 12: Hundreds of children are attending their classes without a shelter at the Government Primary School, Union Council No 6, Taj Colony Nawabshah, since long.
Children attend their classes on a plot allotted to the Government Primary Boys School, Mohammed Ali Housing Society under trees.
The school is running for about a year but has not yet been provided building, furniture and other facilities like drinking water and bathrooms.
Students face trouble in the absence of basic facilities.
Attention of students gets diverted due to public movement and noise of vehicles.
Parents and teachers demanded of the district government to provide shelter to children as winter was fast approaching.
The EDO Education, Nawabshah was not available for comments.
It may be mentioned here that despite the provincial government claim of carrying out development work in education sector, thousands of children were forced to continue their studies without shelter and basic facilities in different parts of Sindh.At least 12 PPP activists arrested on Sunday for violation of Section 144 Cr.PC were released on bail, on Monday.
The civil judge and judicial magistrate-II Shujaat Mirza granted bail to Imdad Dhamrah, District Secretary, Syed Shahanshah, taluka president Doulatpur, Moula Bux Siyal, Naveed Mallah, Feroze Leghari, Hassan Shah, Pir Ali Asghar, Khair Mohammed Mahar, Ghanwar Jamali and others for Rs 25,000 each and ordered their release.
Workers were brought to Zardari House from the court where Zila Nazim, Faryal Talpur greeted them.
Speaking to party workers, she said such shameful acts will not stop them from the struggle for democracy.
She asked the workers to remain united and active and continue struggle for the restoration of democracy in the country.
