COLOMBO, Nov 12: Nearly two weeks after eliminating the LTTE second in command S. P. Thamilchelvan, the Sri Lankan Air Force said its next move would be to go “all out” to target Tamil Tiger supremo Velupillai Prabhakaran.
The state-controlled Sunday Observer quoted Air Force commander Roshan Goonatilleke as saying that he was confident of finding the elusive leader who is believed to be holed up in the north of the country where he runs a de facto state.
“I do not think it is that difficult for us to get at him now,” the Air Force chief had said.
“We will find him somehow soon. We need a great deal of patience.”
The comments by Goonatilleke comes as Colombo was swathed in posters by Sinhala nationalist factions, encouraging the military to target Prabhakaran.
