KARACHI, Nov 12: Nine ships carrying DAP fertiliser, steel, coils and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where a dozen ships, Oel Victory, Pu He, Conti Germany, Conti Esperance with containers, Conti Express, Chi Feng Kou and Reclof with general cargo, Jaipur to load rice, Fade-1 to offload phosphate, Formosa Product Cosmos, Arechangelos and Isabel Knutsen, oil tankers, were berthed during the last two days.
Sailing was also active as a dozen vessels departed, which included Y.M. Energy, Eric G. Gibson, Harmony, Bunga Delima, Soon Fu, Steela, Da Bak Sol, Al-Husaini, Iron Butterfly, Chitral, Banglar Maya and Uleas.
Six others, Reclof, Pu He, Conti Germany, Isabel Kuntsen, Asian Queen and Conti Esperance are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 0.237m tons comprising 59,074 tons of export cargo including 14,000 tons of cement and 0.178m tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Gulf Tuger with and Lalazar, oil tankers, Emirates Jumeirah, APL Shenzhen and Y.M. Xiamen with containers, Surmene-4 and Areadia with 33,000 and 25,040 tons of DAP fertiliser, Pacific Carrier with coal and Ibn Bassam with steel coils.
