LAHORE, Nov 4: Asim Shafik beat Abid Ali Akbar as six Pakistanis entered the main draw of the ITF Pakistan Circuit 2 tennis tournament at Cosmopolitan Tennis Club Bagh-i-Jinnah at the end of the qualifying round on Sunday.
Asim, outclassed compatriot Abid 6-1, 6-1. Aqeel Khan has already entered in the main draw on his better ranking, while Tanvir Ashiq, Mohammad Shafiq, Nomi Qamar and Jalil Khan got wild card entries.
In all eight winners of the qualifiers reserved places in the main draw, starting from Monday.
