SDO accused of selling water

MIRPURKHAS, March 23: The growers continued demonstration and protest sit-ins at different talukas of the district against the acute shortage of water and non supply of water into their waterway.

Rallies were taken out from Kot Ghulam Mouhammad Taluka and Samaro Taluka by growers. They also staged sit-in at Samaro bus stop and blocked the road for two hours, demanding the restoration of water supply to their talukas.

They alleged, that the SDO of Samaro had sold out their share of water and were supplying the same to influential landlords.

They surrounded the office of the SDO irrigation, Samaro, and chanted slogans against the SDO.
