MIRPURKHAS, Oct 20: The Mirpurkhas Tax Bar Association (MTBA) has expressed concern over the poor law and order situation and called upon the government to extend the date of filing of income tax returns till Nov 15.

An emergency meeting of the MTBA was presided over by Ahmed Saeed Kaimkhani. G.K. advocate, S.A.Khan, general secretary Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher, Abdul Khaliq Khan, Naveed Ahmed Khan, Haji Khursheed Ali Khan and Mukhtiar Ahmed Khan advocate attended the meeting.

The meeting was told that due to the three-day mourning by People’s Party it was impossible for lawyers to submit income tax returns as well as due to Ramazan and Eid holidays.

They appealed to President Gen Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and officials of the Federal Board of Revenue to extend date of submitting tax returns till Nov 15.
