HYDERABAD, Oct 20: The government of Sindh, in exercise of powers under Sugarcane Factories Control Act 1950, has fixed the price of sugarcane at Rs67 per 40 kilogramme for the crushing season of 2007-08, according to a notification issued by the Sindh Agriculture Department on Saturday.

LUMHS: Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences syndicate at its 13th meeting held here on Saturday given approval to the health insurance policy for all the university employees from grade-I to grade-22.

The university vice chancellor professor Noshad Ahmed Shaikh presided over the meeting which was attended by Mr Justice Azizullah Memon of Sindh High Court, Prof Ali Mohammad Ansari, Prof Ms Aftab Muneer, Ghulam Qadir Qazi, Jalal Shah and others.

The syndicate also constituted boards of studies for different departments to enable them take their own decisions on academic issues.
