RAWALPINDI, Oct 12: Common struggle and determination of both bar and bench can ensure the availability of less costly and early justice for the people of Pakistan as they have great expectations of the functioning of judicial system in general and the members of the judiciary in particular.
This was stated by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry in a written message to the lawyers of Rawalpindi District Bar Association wishing them Eid greetings. The message was read out by President DBA Raja Khalid Ismail Abbasi to the cheers of an extended gathering of lawyers at the bar premises on Friday.
He said every body knew that people in Pakistan were facing problems in obtaining quick justice and the promise of the bench to hear and decided the cases quickly and complete preparation of cases and avoidance of delaying tactics by the bar could mitigate the intensity of the problem.
He urged the lawyers community to follow the spirit with which they lifted the image of the judiciary through their recent struggle. “We should together strive to make the life of common man easy and secure,” the CJ added.
He maintained that he along with his colleagues would make it sure that every litigants got the justice according to law, without any favour or fear and without any liking or disliking.
Voicing the sentiments of the lawyers, General Secretary DBA Syed Intizar Shah said the lawyers were ready for every sacrifice for the cause of provision of justice and Rawalpindi bar remained on the forefront during the recent struggle of lawyers.
Senior lawyer Sardar Ishaq advocate said the all bar associations of the country had acknowledged the significant role of Pindi lawyers.
