KARACHI, Oct 7: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad visited different areas of the city on Saturday night and Sunday to review special arrangements made by the provincial and city governments for peace and security at various shopping malls and commercial centres in the city.

Adviser to the Chief Minister on Home Wasim Akhtar, City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, DIG Traffic Wajid Durrani and other senior officials accompanied the governor in his extensive visits.

The governor talked to people at various commercial areas and sought their opinion about the Eid arrangements.

Talking to some of the shoppers, he said General Pervez Musharraf’s victory in the presidential election had doubled the joy of the upcoming Eid. He said the country was on the path of progress under the dynamic leadership of President Musharraf, and observed that people wanted continuity of the present government’s policies.—PPI
