Businessman kidnapped for ransom

SAHIWAL, Sept 28: Four people allegedly kidnapped a trader for ransom from Chak 101/9-L on Thursday night. Nadeem, of Sauri Gali, with his cousin Asif, was travelling in a car from Arifwala to Sahiwal.

The captors chased them in a car and kidnapped Nadeem while they let Asif go.

Dera Rahim police registered a case. The kidnappers reportedly have demanded a ransom for the release of Nadeem, but the family and police did not disclose the amount.

ROBBERY: Two robbers snatched a car, cash and a cell phone from a doctor near Chak 7/11-L. Dr Abdul Shakoor after performing his duty at the rural health centre of Chak 8/11-L was going to Harappa.

Two robbers, in a car, chased him and near Chak 7/11-L, held him at gunpoint. They fled after snatching the car, Rs20,000 and a cell phone from him. Harappa police registered a case with no arrest.
