KARACHI, Sept 28: A shopkeeper got injured in a dispute with another shopkeeper in the Electronics Market on Friday night. According to police, a dispute broke out between two shopkeepers Asim and Tahir before Iftar which was pacified by other shopkeepers.

However, after Iftar the situation took a turn for worse as small fire arms were used during which Tahir sustained a bullet wound reportedly in the head.

He was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. Following the incident, keeping in line with their past practice the shopkeepers blocked the Abdullah Haroon Road. However, they soon ended their so-called protest.

The SHO of the Preedy police station, Irfan Zaman, said that the cause of the dispute had yet to be ascertained.
