ISLAMABAD, March 19: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has notified duty drawback facility on exports of three kinds of chemicals and its raw materials.

The duty repayment to be allowed on exports of chemicals included: antifoam SI-2, despolube ACA and nervanase LT, said a notification issued on Tuesday.

The rates of repayment of duty fixed for antifoam SI-2 and its raw materials — carbo pol 910 and zero fome S140 — were Rs13.55 per kg, which will be available from January 2, 1998 till June 30, 1998; Rs10.47 per kg from July 1, 1998 up to June 30, 2000 and Rs6.18 per kg from July 1, 2000 onwards.

For despolube ACA and its raw materials — ablunol co-2.50, ablunol co-12, polioxol F-04 and phosphorus pentaoxide — the rates of duty drawback were Rs8 per kg, which will be applicable from Jan 2, 1998 till June 30, 1998, Rs5.70 per kg from July 1, 1998 to June 30, 2000 and Rs4.90 per kg from July 1, 2000 onwards, respectively. Similarly, on export of nervanase LT and its raw material — aquazim 240 L — the rate of duty drawback will be Rs3.65 per kg from Jan 2, 1998 till June 30, 1999, Rs2.60 per kg from July 1, 1999 till June 30, 2000 and Rs1.04 per kg from July 1, 2000 onwards, respectively.

The facility will be admissible on the goods produced or manufactured by M/s ICI Pakistan Ltd, Karachi.
