JI supporters join PPP

UPPER DIR, Sept 20: Hundreds of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) workers quit their party and joined the People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) in Upper Dir District’s Janbatti Barawal area.

The area falls in PF-91 Dir that would be contested by provincial health minister Inayatullah Khan and PPP provincial general-secretary Najmuddin Khan. Union Council Darikand’s ex- nazim Noor Rehman Khan joined the PPP along with hundreds of his supporters.

In Brawal Khas, Shehryar Khan, Naushad Khan, Naveed Shahid, Azad Bakht Khan, Esamuddin, Sadiq and Irfan joined the PPP along with their families.
