Millat Party decision

Published March 18, 2002

LAHORE, March 17: The Millat Party is willing to join hands with any party believing in the restoration of the 1973 Constitution, except the two former ruling parties. Party information secretary Muhammad Yousaf told reporters here on Sunday that the PPP and the PML-N had not delivered while in power and thus the MP would not like to cooperate with them.

He said his party did not like to convert political rivalries into personal enmities, and it was for this reason that MP leaders had good contacts with their counterparts in other parties. “We are for more socialisation”.

He did not give much importance to PML-QA leaders’ recent visit to Dera Ghazi Khan during which they had met Leghari’s cousin Maqsood. — Staff Reporter
