KARACHI: PML-N’s view

KARACHI, Sept 16: The Election Commission of Pakistan’s notification declaring the Article 63 of the constitution not applicable to the presidential candidates is tantamount to pre-poll rigging and unacceptable to the masses.

This was stated by the acting president of the PML-N, Sindh, Saleem Zia. According to the Article 63, any person holding an office of profit in the services of Pakistan is eligible to contest elections only after two years of his/her retirement from the services.—Staff Reporter
