Five children hurt in roof collapse

OKARA, Sept 11: Five children were injured when the roof of a snooker club collapsed during a heavy rain here on Tuesday.

Shahzad, Afzaal, Khalid, Talib and Tariq of 55/2.L village were playing snooker at the club when its roof collapsed. They were taken to the hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable.

BAILIFF FINDS MAN: A bailiff has recovered a man who was illegally detained by Hujra Shah Muqeem police.

Nazir Ahmad filed an application with District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf Bhatti for the recovery of his brother Muhammad Rafiq. The judge appointed a bailiff who recovered Rafiq from a police lockup. The court also ordered action against the policemen who detained Rafiq. — Correspondent
