PESHAWAR, March 16: Protest demonstrations were held by different transport and drivers associations at four points in the provincial capital on Saturday against the killing of two persons by the officials of customs department near Nowshera.

The protesters blocked Charssada, Kohat, Jamrud and G.T. Road and burnt tyres. They were raising slogans against the customs department and demanding immediate arrest of the inspector and other staffers who opened fire on two buses near Azakhel in Nowshera on Friday.

The demonstrations were attended by tribals in large number as the owner of the bus killed in the incident belonged to tribal area.
