Man cuts wife’s nose

MUZAFFARGARH, Sept 7: A man has cut the nose of his wife allegedly to implicate his opponents in Pati Ghulam Ali area of Kot Addu tehsil on Friday.

Zaffar Iqbal allegedly took his wife Rani to a forest where his friends were also waiting for them. They give her a cup of tea that contained sedatives. After taking tea, she fainted and her husband and his accomplices cut her nose with a razor.

Later, they took her back to her house and asked her to give a statement before police to get a case registered against his husband’s opponents, but she refused.

Later, she informed her parents about the incident who took her to a hospital for treatment.

Her brother Mustafa said Rani and Zaffar married around 11 years ago and her husband was pressing her to get a case registered against his opponents.

The Sanawan police have registered a case. However, no arrest has been made till the filing of this report.
