NBP signs MoU with Chinese bank

KARACHI, Sept 7: National Bank of Pakistan on Friday signed an MoU with Industrial and Commercial Bank of China for bilateral cooperation in Dalian, China.The two banks agreed to cooperate to focus on developing niches and creating synergies.

Areas of mutual cooperation will be trade finance, cash management and international payment, corporate lending, project financing, infrastructure financing, investment banking, including cross border mergers and acquisitions.

The two banks also agreed to expand their business cooperation in a third country. ICBC China is the biggest bank with total assets of more than $1.11 trillion.
