KARACHI: PTCL directories

KARACHI, March 14: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has take serious note of non-delivery of telephone directories to its subscribers in Karachi.

The PTCL claims that the daily distribution, which is basically through area linemen, amounts to about 5000 all over the city which has 40 exchanges.

Taking cognizance of the slow distribution, director general(operation), South, Irfan, Ali Khan, on Thursday directed the general managers concerned to immediately look into the matter and get the distribution of telephone directories done through mobile vans/teams.

Out of the 680,000 directories required for Karachi only 375,000 have so far been received from the printers. While 280,000 directories have so far been distributed.—PPI
