KHAR: Two shops blown up

KHAR, Aug 27: Two shops allegedly dealing in narcotics were destroyed and four others partially damaged in an explosion at a market in the Salarzai tehsil here on Sunday night. Officials said two shopkeepers, identified as Mohammad Ayaz and Shah Wazir, used to sell narcotics and had received threats to wind up their business.

They added that the explosion took place at about 11pm. The political authorities have registered a case.

In another incident, one Momin Khan lost one of his legs when he stepped over a landmine while working in his fields in the Gabri area of Mamond tehsil on Monday.

He has been hospitalised.
